Guidelines

  1. Prosperity Connection® will award scholarships annually based on funding.
  2. A scholarship is not automatically renewed from one semester to the next. Awardees are responsible for submitting the appropriate documentation (e.g. GPA, class schedule, bills) to continue receiving installments from Prosperity Connection.
  3. The scholarship is not transferable to a different individual. It is the applicant’s responsibility to notify the Committee if he or she is unable to use the scholarship, or if the individual decides to attend a different college or university.
  4. The scholarship award is one-time only, and the recipient is not eligible to apply for future awards. Applicant has three years to exhaust scholarship funds. Any money not used within three years of acceptance will remain with the Foundation. Funds should be used until depleted.
  5. All scholarship award funds will be distributed directly to the school.
  6. The Prosperity Connection Committee is not required to mail 1099 miscellaneous forms to scholarship recipients. Questions regarding tax consequences of the scholarship should be directed to your personal tax advisor or Internal Revenue Service office. The scholarship recipient should maintain a personal record of all scholarships received.
  7. The student must be a candidate for a degree at an educational institution (two or four year degree, technical) that maintains a regular faculty and curriculum and normally has a regularly enrolled body of students in attendance at the place where it carries on its education activities.
  8. The amount received as a scholarship must be used for tuition and fees required for enrollment or attendance at the educational institution, or for books, supplies, and equipment required for courses of instruction. Funds will be released upon review of GPA, current schedule of classes and the tuition/fees bill.
