“The seed must grow regardless of the fact that it’s planted in stone.” – Tupac Shakur
Tupac Shakur (1971-1996)
Tupac Shakur took the music industry by force releasing 5 hip hop albums from 1987-1996. Most of the themes in Shakur’s songs revolved around the violence and hardship in inner cities, racism, and other social issues. This type of influence was driven by coming from a family where his Mother and Father were members of the Black Panther Party. Unfortunately Shakur was murdered in 1996, since passing Shakur record sales have manage to climb to 75 Million (which is impressive for only releasing 5 albums). Despite the fact that he died over 20 years ago, his music sounds as relevant and important today as it did then.
