Through our financial education and coaching, we help St. Louisans build the confidence, knowledge, and skills to enhance their financial well-being.
Classes
Our St. Louis Builds Credit program offers financial education classes at no cost to you. These classes will help you build an understanding of some of the more common aspects of personal finance. We host a variety of virtual (and sometimes in person!) classes that discuss creating spending plans, understanding the many aspects of credit, buying a house or car, and other seasonal speciality classes.
Credit Report Reviews
We offer credit report reviews under the umbrella of our St. Louis Builds Credit program. During this one-time appointment, our staff or trained volunteers will provide you with a copy of your credit report, done as a “soft pull” so it will not hurt your credit. You’ll also be given your FICO credit score and a detailed description of all areas affecting that score. Together, we will create a personalized action plan to improve your credit! You’ll be provided with additional resources, and you’ll have the option to sign up for ongoing financial coaching in the future. All of this is provided at no cost to you!
Coaching
Navigating the financial world is often a daunting task when you face it alone. We offer no-cost, one-on-one financial coaching sessions to help you build confidence, knowledge, and skills. Whether you want to create a budget, improve your credit, or create savings for larger purchases like a car or a home, our best-in-class financial coaches will guide you in the right direction. They can help you set achievable goals, create an action plan, and connect with any additional services or resources you might need.
