Everyone benefits from financial education. When different organizations bring their expertise together, they can provide more complete support and create stronger outcomes for the people they serve. By partnering with organizations across St. Louis, Prosperity Connection brings trusted financial education and coaching alongside the specialized work of our partners, helping more clients build the financial knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to reach their goals. These partnerships expand our collective impact, strengthen communities, and demonstrate what’s possible when we work together.
Financial education intersects with virtually every area of a person’s life and, by extension, with nearly every type of support an organization provides.
People don’t experience financial challenges in isolation.
Whether someone is working toward better health, stable housing, employment, education, entrepreneurship, or homeownership, financial knowledge and decision-making often play an important role in their ability to reach those goals.
Organizations don’t need to become financial experts to help their clients navigate these challenges. By partnering with Prosperity Connection, organizations can complement their own expertise with our expertise as a trusted financial education organization. Together, clients receive the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to move forward. When financial education is part of the conversation, organizations can provide more holistic support while helping their clients build greater financial confidence and stability.
At Prosperity Connection, financial education and coaching are our sole, core mission. That dedicated focus allows us to provide specialized, impartial guidance, all without selling or managing financial products. Our team brings dedicated expertise, evidence-based practices, and a best-in-class approach to helping people build the confidence, knowledge, and skills to achieve greater financial stability.
We know that our partners bring that same depth of expertise to their own core work. We believe the strongest partnerships begin with each organization focusing on what it does best.
Our approach is to come alongside our partners, complementing their services with financial education and coaching that might otherwise be difficult to prioritize or sustain internally.
While some organizations incorporate financial education into their work, it is usually one part of a broader range of their services. Rather than asking another organization’s staff to become financial experts or add another program to their responsibilities, we bring our expertise directly to the people they serve. The result is more holistic support for clients, while allowing each organization to stay focused on its own mission and strengths.
We will continue expanding our reach through high-quality collaborations that put this “come alongside” approach into practice. By partnering with employers, community organizations, and other trusted institutions, we can bring financial education and Credit Wellness Events to more people in the places where they already live and work. When each organization brings its best to the table, clients benefit from the collective expertise of the whole.

Credit influences nearly every aspect of financial well-being. Credit barriers are complex, and no single organization can remove them alone. Since credit is a shared challenge that cuts across sectors, Prosperity Connection created a way for organizations to tackle it collectively.
Launched in January of 2020, the St. Louis Builds Credit (STLBC) Alliance brings together financial institutions, nonprofits, employers, government agencies, and community organizations around a shared goal: expanding access to credit, building assets, decreasing the racial wealth gap, and creating greater economic opportunity throughout the St. Louis region.
As the creator and leader of the STLBC Alliance, Prosperity Connection convenes partners, shares expertise, and coordinates collective action to address challenges that affect individuals and communities alike. By working together rather than in isolation, Alliance members are able to connect people with trusted financial education, credit-building resources, and supportive services that help them make lasting progress.
Effective partnerships begin with understanding that people rarely need just one type of support. A person’s financial needs evolve throughout their life, and different organizations often connect with that person at different points along their journey. By recognizing these intersections, organizations can work together to ensure clients have access to the right resources at the right time.
Prosperity Connection uses our proprietary Life Cycle of a Client tool to intentionally build a network of trusted community partners that strengthen connections across the financial ecosystem.
The framework guides the STLBC Alliance and our partnership model, helping ensure clients can access the financial products, services, and resources that best align with their goals. Not every client will need every step, but each stage represents an opportunity to connect people with the support needed to build financial stability, growth, and long-term wealth.

Through this approach, Prosperity Connection coordinates warm referrals with trusted organizations to help clients navigate their financial journeys with confidence. By connecting organizations and aligning expertise, we create a more comprehensive support system that helps individuals and families build lasting financial health and economic mobility. Learn more about each stage of the cycle below.
People rarely seek out financial education simply because they recognize they need it. More often, they are working toward a goal: finding a better-paying job, buying a home, reducing debt, managing an unexpected expense, or building a stronger future for their family. Financial education becomes most impactful when it is connected to those goals and provided at the moment it becomes relevant.
Partnerships make that possible. By embedding financial education alongside existing programs and workplaces, organizations can connect people with the support they need without requiring them to navigate an additional system or seek out resources on their own.
Partnerships remove the burden of expecting people to know what support they need before they know where to find it.
As a result, Prosperity Connection brings financial education into trusted spaces where people are already seeking support. Financial education becomes a natural part of the journey, helping people make informed decisions as they take the next steps toward economic stability.
Partners bring Prosperity Connection in to teach classes, facilitate Credit Wellness Events, and provide individualized financial support. For example, we deliver Budgeting & Banking Basics six times a year for Mission: St. Louis’s Beyond Jobs cohort, adding financial expertise to a program focused on helping participants achieve employment and economic stability. Through these collaborations, we meet people where they already live, work, and access services. This makes financial education more accessible, relevant, and connected to the goals people are already working to achieve.
No organization can meet every need on its own. When we share expertise, resources, and relationships, we create stronger pathways for the people and communities we serve.
You know your clients, your community, and your area of expertise.
We know financial education and coaching.
Together, we can bring the right support to people at the right time.
Together, we can invest in the partnerships, systems, and solutions that help individuals and families achieve lasting financial stability.
