A reflection from Kathy Siddens, our Executive Director

Growing up in small communities, I spent a great deal of time at carnivals and, occasionally, had a ticket to Six Flags or Worlds of Fun when visiting my grandparents.  I was never a huge fan of the stomach-dropping rides but loved the atmosphere of laughter, enjoying the beautiful scenery from atop the roller coaster, social connection, family time and, of course, the funnel cakes!

The last nine months at Prosperity Connection have been quite the ride!  Evolving from a volunteer and advocate for PC to a staffer has, truly, been the most humbling, rewarding experience of my career.

With the mission and clients as our focus, we have meticulously rolled up our sleeves and dug into how we work, aligned where needed and strategically allocated our resources so that we can truly be the Best in Class – to fundamentally engage, empower and provide our clients with the tools necessary to improve their financial health.

The phenomenal PC team – staff, volunteers, board of directors, advocates – grabbed the handles, buckled up and joined this ride with me! We have had some woozy moments and times of enjoying the view from the crest of the roller coaster, along with laughter, growing our family and, of course, food with funnel cakes on the menu to come.
